Art Exhibits

“The Show About Nothing” is an art exhibit that features photographic works by Frank Smith, Coby Walters and Doug Churchill. “Frogs and Dragons” is an art exhibit that features new and selected works by TJ Bryant. An Artists’ Reception was held on Tuesday, February 3rd at the FNRC High Chaparral Gallery in Redding. The following link will open a presentation on the exhibit and reception: “Frogs and Dragons”.

“Meet David Plant, Artist and Printmaker” is an art exhibit that features works by David Plant. An Artists’ Reception was held on Tuesday, July 29th, 2014 at the FNRC High Chaparral Gallery in Redding. The following link will open a presentation on the exhibit and reception: “Meet David Plant”.

The Power is Yours Poster Contest 2013 features posters created on the theme “That’s Me!” – The exhibit is being held at FNRC’s High Chaparral Gallery in our Redding office from September 16 through October 16. You can view a slideshow of the exhibit here: “That’s Me!

“The Artists’ Pallet” is an art exhibit that features works by BJ Christenson and Naomi Rose. An Artists’ Reception was held on Monday, July 22nd at the FNRC High Chaparral Gallery in Redding. The following link will open a presentation on the exhibit and reception: “The Artists’ Pallet

“Kyle’s Digital Art – A Retrospective” displays selected works from 2007 to 2012. In 2007, Kyle was taking an online art class while his dad listened to Sting’s “Come Again.” When the music ended, Kyle said, “Hey, dad, would you like to see what that music looks like?” So began an interest in digital painting that reflects the music he sees in images and somehow “paints” on his computer screen. A Reception for the Artist was held on April 17, 2013. Kyle’s art will be exhibited at the High Chaparral Art Gallery in FNRC’s Redding office through September. “At The Seashore” is the featured exhibit in FNRC’s High Chaparral Gallery in Redding. The beautiful wind chimes and art on paper were created by the artists from Artistic Endeavors. An Artists’ Reception was held on Monday, January 14th. “Kyle’s Digital Art – Summer 2012” presents the latest artwork of Kyle Hanson. Kyle is 17 and creates all of his artwork on the computer using a mouse and stylus. A Reception for the Artist was held on July 9th. Kyle’s art will be exhibited at the High Chaparral Art Gallery in FNRC’s Redding office through September. “Ceramic Wind Chimes” is the featured exhibit in FNRC’s High Chaparral Gallery in Redding. The beautiful wind chimes were created by the artists from Artistic Endeavors. Art And Disability Organizations

The following sites are amazing resources for the artist and art educator. Each organization provides a variety of ways to utilize its services. VSA arts regularly issues calls for student art. They also produce a number of publications that address the learning of students with disabilities in art and provide links to the work of artists with disabilities. The National Arts And Disability Center is a clearinghouse of information on arts and disabilities, and the National Disability Arts Forum provides an online curriculum for disability arts. Abilities Arts Festival is an organization that promotes diversity, inclusiveness and the power of art as a means of enriching the cultural fabric of our communities.
