This is part of our “Casual Conversations” Series
Our service system is facing many significant changes over the next several years. These “conversations” are an opportunity to learn about and discuss the proposals or directions in the regional center system you may have heard about. We encourage you to spend some time with us in a constructive dialogue.

The California Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act Board and CalABLE Program
CalABLE allows people with disabilities who acquired their disability before the age of 26 to save more than the current $2,000 resource limit – up to $100K for SSI recipients and up to $475K for those receiving other means-tested benefits, such as Medicaid – without losing their benefits!

Presenter Biography: Carrie Fisher Stone is Deputy Executive Director for the California ABLE Act Board. With more than ten years of experience in management and program administration, and five years in the nonprofit and social services sectors, she joined the Board in August 2016. Carrie is also the parent of a child with Autism and is passionate about advocacy for people with disabilities.
