About the Festival

FOCUS Film Festival explores documentary and narrative films which "focus" on and examine the complexity of the human experience: disability, culture, relationships, aging, lifestyle, and more. The annual Festival is held in October in Chico, and single screening events are held throughout the year in Chico, Redding, Quincy, Paradise and Orland.

The Festival features productions from a wide range of sources bringing Northstate audiences an opportunity to experience innovation, creativity, and diverse perspectives through the medium of film. The Festival offers Academic Credit through California State University, Chico.

FOCUS Film Festival is a project of Far Northern Regional Center, a non-profit organization that provides services and supports to people with developmental disabilities and their families.
