"Stretch" - physically, emotionally, artistically is an art exhibit that features new works by BJ Christenson and Naomi Rose. "Ceramic Wind Chimes" is the featured exhibit in FNRC's High Chaparral Gallery in Redding. The beautiful wind chimes were created by the artists from Artistic Endeavors. An Artists' Reception was held on Monday, January 9th. You can view a slideshow of the exhibit and the reception here: "Ceramic Wind Chimes." The Power is Yours Poster Contest 2011 featured posters created on the theme "Voting: My Right and My Responsibility" - The exhibit was held at FNRC's High Chaparral Gallery in our Redding office from September 10 through October 15. "Adventures in Photography" - Abram House, Frank Smith, and Coby Walters-Fournier share their vision of the world through the art of photography. Art And Disability Organizations
The following sites are amazing resources for the artist and art educator. Each organization provides a variety of ways to utilize its services. VSA arts regularly issues calls for student art. They also produce a number of publications that address the learning of students with disabilities in art and provide links to the work of artists with disabilities. The National Arts And Disability Center is a clearinghouse of information on arts and disabilities, and the National Disability Arts Forum provides an online curriculum for disability arts. Abilities Arts Festival is an organization that promotes diversity, inclusiveness and the power of art as a means of enriching the cultural fabric of our communities.
