Family Advisory Committee
The Family Advisory Committee, a committee of the Far Northern Regional Center Board of Directors, was created to enhance the services currently received by our clients by engaging and involving our client's entire family in the process.
Family caregivers are often the best source of information critical to the success of our clients. They work tirelessly and lovingly with their family member and know whether the services we provide are meeting the needs of our clients.
We honor their efforts and want to empower the family with a means of communicating their concerns, hopes and dreams directly to the Board of Directors. We know that some of the best ideas come from outside. Help us help your loved one. We want to take full advantage of the collective feedback and turn our stakeholders into our shareholders.
Public Meeting
The Family Advisory Committee is holding a public meeting at the Oxford Suites (2035 business Lane) in Chico on Friday, July 13, at 10 a.m. You are invited to attend to learn more about the committee and to provide your ideas and recommendations.

Stephen Bell is the Chairman of the Family Advisory Committee. Mr. Bell lives in Redding. He works in law enforcemnt and enjoys reading, walking, and volunteering in the community. He has three sons and two daughters. |

FAC Survey
Developmental Disabilities not only impact the person but the entire family unit as well. Parents and siblings are applauded for their dedication to their loved ones and Far Northern Regional Center wants to help. Pedestrian Safety Awareness
Many consumers are exposed to traffic threats that challenge their experience and abilities. They may have difficulty judging speed, spatial relations, and distance. They may have developed a pattern of “following” staff without understanding or contributing to their own safety. This Pedestrian Safety Awareness sheet provides basic tips for improving pedestrian safety awareness and skills. FNRC recommends that all consumers in your care complete safety awareness training immediately.
