As I approach retirement on August 15th I reflect back on my 12 years of service at Far Northern Regional Center. It has been such a rewarding experience to support people with varied abilities so they can have the health and energy they need to live happy and productive lives in their community.
I have enjoyed working with clients, families, care providers, ILS instructors, IHSS workers, and the many other people involved in the lives of FNRC clients. The health care system in the U.S. is getting more complex and difficult with every passing day. I am glad to have been a resource for people who need help accessing the care they need and deserve.
I have also enjoyed the workplace culture at FNRC. It is rare to find an agency that is truly family oriented to the point of considering each other a part of their extended family! I will miss having such a great team of professionals to interact with and such a warm-hearted group of people to work alongside.
In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, “The greatest wealth is health.” Wishing you a wealth of healthiness! Marge Troester
