Artist's Statement: BJ has been painting and drawing for over 30 years. A prolific artist, BJ works in various mediums including watercolor, markers, and acrylics. BJ paints using her left foot with a paintbrush attached. She uses art to express herself and to get through her pain from cerebral palsy. She loves to paint sunrises, flowers, and the ocean. Her impressionist paintings reflect joy, movement and color. |

reception In 2006 BJ’s art exhibited at the de Young Museum in San Francisco, she also won first prize at the Shasta County Fair and was featured in a article by the Record Searchlight. BJ is a founding member of the group ArtFirst. ArtFirst had their first group exhibition in June 2007 in the lobby of city hall in Redding. |
