Cory Smith

   Hello, my name is Cory Smith, a Consumer Advocate for Far Northern Regional Center.  I currently am a co-editor for the Watch Out! newsletter helping each member of Far Northern to find their voice.  I also am busy with my Clean Teeth series, teaching others the importance of daily brushing, flossing, eating healthy and seeing our dentist often. 

 When I'm not busy doing presentations or wearing my editor's cap I can be found on the stage.  Although not directly advocating, I'll be in my 3rd school tour with the Theatre in the Now! troupe for Sherlock Bones where we visit elementary schools in the Butte/Glenn Co. areas.  Not only do I advocate that people like myself with a disability can also act, I also help encourage the arts to be part of the academic experience of those who attend. 

 Our troupe hopes to in the future do a play on the importance of voting.  Voting is an important way we can let our voice be heard.  Its not only our right, but our opportunity to make a difference.
