Thank you for your interest in services with Far Northern Regional Center (FNRC). FNRC is an agency that serves persons with developmental disabilities in a nine county area (Butte, Shasta, Modoc, Trinity, Glenn, Lassen, Plumas, Tehama and Siskiyou).

A developmental disability is a lifelong condition that affects the overall functioning of the individual. Eligible conditions for regional center services include: intellectual disability (formerly mental retardation), autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and other neurological conditions such as those resulting from car accidents or near drowning. The disability has to have occurred prior to age 18 and the person must be substantially handicapped by the condition. Please keep in mind that we do not serve persons who have only a learning disability or who have solely mental health issues.

If you live in our catchment area, think that you may have one of the eligible conditions listed above and would like to inquire about a referral:

  • Call our intake inquiry line at: (530) 332-1529
  • Fax an inquiry to: (530) 222-8908

OR:

  • Submit the following form.

** Your inquiry will be forwarded to an Intake Specialist who will call you as soon as possible to discuss eligibility requirements and the next steps of the intake process.
