Thank you for your interest in services with Far Northern Regional Center (FNRC). FNRC is an agency that serves persons with developmental disabilities in a nine county area (Butte, Shasta, Modoc, Trinity, Glenn, Lassen, Plumas, Tehama and Siskiyou).
A developmental disability is a lifelong condition that affects the overall functioning of the individual. Eligible conditions for regional center services include: intellectual disability (formerly mental retardation), autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and other neurological conditions such as those resulting from car accidents or near drowning. The disability has to have occurred prior to age 18 and the person must be substantially handicapped by the condition.
