POSITION: Human Resources Specialist (Confidential/Non-Bargaining Position)
LOCATION: Redding Office
HOURS: Full Time Position-39 hours per week
SALARY & BENEFITS:
$3,847 to $4,748 per month plus a 9.75% pay adjustment through June 30, 2019. Complete package of fringe benefits including vacation and sick leave, health/dental/vision insurance, 16 paid holidays, and CalPERS retirement.
JOB SYNOPSIS & QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:
Paraprofessional/Confidential class position works under general supervision of the Executive Director/H.R. Director to provide administrative and analytical support for administration of agency H.R. program. Duties include coordination of recruitment; administration of employee benefit plans; preparation of documents for use in labor negotiations; research, analysis and report preparation; orientation/training of new staff; maintaining H.R. statistics/reports using ABRA or similar HR tracking system; assists in administration of agency policies and procedures, as well as relevant State and federal laws; ADA, FMLA, CFRA, PDL and Workers’ Compensation management. Maintains confidential personnel records in accordance with applicable law and best practices. Performs other related work as assigned. Requires AA degree in business or human resources management, or four years of experience performing advanced administrative support similar to that required by the position. HR administration, payroll and benefits, or employment law background preferred. PHR certification preferred.
