POSITION: Nurse/Health Program Administrator (Bargaining Unit Position)
LOCATION: Chico or Redding Office
HOURS: Full Time Position (39 hours per week)
SALARY & BENEFITS: $35.63 – $43.70/hour. Complete package of fringe benefits including Vacation and Sick Leave, Health, 17 paid Holidays, and CalPERS Retirement. Travel allowance for field work.
JOB SYNOPSIS & QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY: Under general administrative direction of the Medical Director, participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team in planning and evaluating the clinical services provided by the regional center. Represents the regional center at meetings, committees, and conferences regarding healthcare needs of clients as assigned. This position plays an essential role in the development of effective and efficient healthcare coordination for our clients with developmental disabilities and provides guidance and support to FNRC clients, family members, caregivers, physicians and other healthcare providers. Helps identify individuals in need of medical follow up, specialty healthcare services, and preventive care, and advocates for clients to ensure full utilization of their existing healthcare coverage and programs. Participates in planning and evaluating local healthcare programs for developmentally disabled individuals; provides consultation and training for Service Coordinators who provide case management services for our clients and their families. Reviews medical records, prepares reports, and documents interdisciplinary notes. Provides community outreach and education with regard to healthcare needs of regional center clients. Performs selected assignments as directed by the Medical Director.
Requires BS Degree or equivalent from a NLNAC accredited college: major coursework in nursing or a directly related science curriculum; RN licensure and 3 years experience, preferably in fields of developmental disabilities, maternal and child health, with background in psychiatric units and/or public health. California certification as a PHN is preferred.
