4th Annual Stuff-a-Bus Food & Fund Drive

December 5, 2016 Adam Knight

CPE’s non profit “membership” Food Pantry launched in July 2013 in Shasta County accomplishing 2 important objectives: (1) Providing food to Far Northern Regional Center (FNRC) community members and (2) creating local paid employment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Membership is offered to adults with Intellectual Disabilities who live on their own and receive services from FNRC. They are classified as a “Closed-Door Pantry” which means they DELIVER! Each member receives one bag of groceries per week delivered to their home or workplace. Each bag consists of the ingredients to complete the weekly recipe as well as additional food items and one or more toiletry item. The monthly membership fee is $10 while the average monthly food value is about $45-$50. Funding is provided by local cash and food donations and is sponsored by FNRC.
Please support this important service. Your tax-deductible donation of any size truly makes a local difference. For additional information please contact Jeannie Daniel, Pantry Manager at 530-276-0322.
