Far Northern and Disability Rights of California (Office of Clients’ Rights) have partnered to offer quarterly learning sessions regarding alternatives to conservatorship. The information is designed for family members of the people we mutually support, particularly caregivers of teenagers and young adults. We also welcome teachers, interested community members, and teens or adults who receive Far Northern services. Anyone who wants to learn more about this topic is welcome.
Our goal is to help support people in the least restrictive manner by providing safeguard suggestions for identified risks, while also supporting each person’s right to have opportunities to learn, grow and make choices.
During the training we will talk about:
- Far Northern’ s history with regard to conservatorship

- Being Person Centered and why that is important
