SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. – The National Weather Service is warning people of extreme heat this week that, for most of Shasta County, creates a real risk of heat-related illness for many people.
Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency officials urge the public to remain vigilant when it comes to preventing heat-related illness and encourage people to take special precautions during outdoor activities. Those who do not have access to air conditioning at home are encouraged to make plans to find relief at one of the public air-conditioned places.
