FNRC Disaster Assistance Fund

October 2, 2020 Melissa Gruhler

Many of the people who receive Far Northern Regional Center (FNRC) services have additional support needs outside of the normal scope of Regional Center services or emergency services. This is especially true during times of disasters like the ones which have impacted the Northern California over this year.  Many of them do not have family or insurance to help them during disasters or other large scale events. We are asking for donations to assist with housing, food, clothing and immediate needs resulting from local disasters.

All money donated to this fund will go to assist people with developmental disabilities impacted by emergencies within the counties we serve which are Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity. This includes current wildfires, PGE Public Safety Power Shutoff events and other emergencies or disasters.

Any funds not able to be disbursed or remaining by the end of the disaster event will remain available for use to assist Regional Center clients during future disasters.
