Tips To Parents From FNRC

January 27, 2016 Adam Knight

As spring approaches you may think about asking your Service Coordinator about summer camp for your child. FNRC can fund up to 21 days of out of home respite each fiscal year for your child.  Many parents choose to use participation in a summer camp in lieu of Out-of-Home Respite.

Also, please be aware that your Service Coordinator must be invited to attend Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings by you. We often receive notifications of scheduled IEP meetings from the school but we can’t attend unless you let us know that you want us there. It’s especially helpful to have your FNRC Service Coordinator attend any transition IEPs.

Please call Jackie Johnson, Case Management Supervisor, at 332-1460 for more information or questions about these issues.
