My name is Tre Keys, and I am honored to serve as the Public Information Officer for the Far Northern Regional Center. I bring to this role a diverse background in media, nonprofit work, and graphic design.
I began my career at KRCR News Channel 7 as a Production Assistant. Through dedication and skill, I quickly mastered Graphics, Sound Board, and Floor Directing. By the time I graduated, I was promoted to Technical Director, where I directed numerous live broadcasts, including critical coverage of The Carr Fire and The Camp Fire. This experience honed my ability to communicate effectively with the public and media, and to manage high-pressure situations.
After five successful years in news, I transitioned to a role as Donor Relations Specialist for Haven Humane Society. In this position, I developed the organization’s YouTube channel and led a highly successful marketing campaign for North State Giving Tuesday, which resulted in the most profitable year for the nonprofit and earned us the title of best nonprofit in the Northstate. This role allowed me to develop my skills in community outreach, fund development, and social media management.
I am now the proud Public Information Officer at the Far Northern Regional Center. In this position, I am responsible for implementing the Center’s public information and community relations activities, coordinating and developing informational materials, community outreach, special events, fund development, electronic messaging, managing social media websites, and various special projects. My background in media, nonprofit, and graphic design, along with my excellent written and verbal communication skills, make me well-suited to effectively communicate with community agencies, media, and the public across our nine-county service area.
I am passionate about the work we do at the Far Northern Regional Center and am eager to spread awareness about our services and achievements. I encourage you to reach out to me with any ideas or suggestions on how we can best share the good work we do. Together, we can make a significant impact in our community.
Sincerely,
Tre Keys
