Join author and speaker David Saechao

Unless you are Native American, you as well as your neighbors, came from some other place. Do you know the story of your ancestors? It is by listening to the stories of journeys and hardship that we come to understand who we are and those around us in our community. Please join us as we welcome historian and author David Saechao as he shares the unknown story of the lu Mein people. From the mountains of Laos to Redding California.

David Saechao is a first generation Mien American living in Redding, California. His family immigrated to the United States in 1980 after fleeing the aftermath of the Secret War in Laos and becoming Refugees in Thailand.
